📍 Sep 12 2026 — US–Taiwan Tax Seminar: FBAR & FATCA
The month concluded with a tax seminar presented by Mindy Wu, CPA, PFS, LL.M., focusing on US foreign asset reporting requirements and Taiwan asset considerations under US tax regulations.
Key topics included:
• FBAR and FATCA compliance
• Taiwan asset treatment under US tax rules
• Common scenarios for new immigrants and students
• Cross‑border financial planning and wealth transfer strategies
The seminar drew significant engagement from members and community participants, underscoring the importance of cross‑border tax literacy within the Taiwanese‑American community.

In partnership with Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), NATEA Arizona hosted an online information session for the TG Talent Program.

The student session saw active participation and strong interest from attendees seeking global career and research opportunities.

NATEA Arizona participated in the Resource Fair hosted by Arizona State University’s International Students and Scholars Center (ISSC).
Our team introduced the association’s mission, engineering community, professional networking opportunities, and career resources to incoming Taiwanese students.
The event provided a valuable platform for new students to connect with local professionals, learn about Arizona’s growing tech ecosystem, and receive guidance on academic and career development.

NATEA Arizona team had the pleasure of dining with Director Chiao of the Phoenix TECO office and his spouse. The conversation was warm, engaging, and filled with meaningful exchanges about community services, technology talent collaboration, and future opportunities.
We are excited for the official launch of the Phoenix TECO office in Q4 2026, which will greatly enhance support for Taiwanese communities across the Greater Phoenix area. This strengthened connection marks an important step toward building a more vibrant and supportive network for local Taiwanese professionals, families, and students.

2026 Youth Overseas Dream-Building Fund – Entrepreneur Strike Team
NATEA Arizona continues to strengthen the bridge between Taiwanese and U.S. engineering talent and the broader innovation ecosystem in Arizona. This week, we had the opportunity to meet with the Youth Overseas Dream-Building Fund – Entrepreneur Strike Team, a delegation of young founders from Hsinchu, Taiwan.
The program, supported by the Hsinchu City Government and partner organizations, aims to help emerging entrepreneurs gain global exposure and accelerate their path into international markets. During the visit, NATEA Arizona shared insights into Arizona’s tech landscape—spanning semiconductors, biotech, sustainability, and cross-border venture networks—and guided the delegation through local companies and innovation hubs.

2026 8/8 Arizona MLB Taiwanese Heritage
NATEA Arizona joined the MLB Taiwan Day celebration at Chase Field, bringing members and families together to honor Taiwan’s Father’s Day. The community showed up in Taiwan-themed jerseys and flags, strengthening connections among Taiwanese engineers across Arizona while proudly sharing Taiwan’s culture with the broader baseball crowd.

Co‑hosted with ASU ISSC and TSA, drawing over 200 students and job seekers. Companies including ASML and NXP joined onsite, and we connected with our Seattle chapter for a remote career session.

We brought Sustainable Impact Capital — one of Taiwan’s largest angel investor networks — to Arizona. Local startups pitched live with a keynote and guest remarks connecting capital, talent, and technology.
